Music Making Pop-Ups at Brompton
December 11, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Join us for a gentle immersive music play experience in the park with your favourite music teachers, Julie and Jay.
In this session, we’ll be making music super-fun and hands-on to optimise your little one’s developing brain for the very best start in life.
At Sounds Like This we’re all about setting children up for a lifetime love of music and learning while nurturing their beautiful bonds with the grown-ups who’ve got their backs.
How? By empowering parents and educators of young children to use their voices, bodies, and everyday resources to bring organic music-making back into their lives through our scientifically informed musical play and explorations, that are hands-on and easy to implement, even for non-musos.
Our programs are developed with valuable insights from a brain’s trust of professionals, including paediatric occupational therapists, paediatric speech therapists, play therapists, early childhood movement coaches, kindergarten educators, music therapists, and highly trained early years specialists in music education.
A 30-minute music-making session for your child and you.
Featuring active songs and games, a sung story and winding down with a sweet lullaby and gentle meditation.
All families will also receive a complimentary Sounds Like This Song Book download, featuring a collection song lyrics from our session and broader collection.

What others are saying about Sounds Like This…
“My daughter asks me every day, ‘is it music today?’ She loves every moment and utterly adores Julie, and I love the education I receive along the way about how to use music at home and why it’s so very important. I can not recommend Sounds Like This and Julie enough!”
— Melissa Casley
“Julie’s classes have been a ray of light in this time. They bring new energy into our home and family. One night my daughter went outside and sang to the stars. She was completely lost in the moment – her heart song connecting to the world around her. It was so beautiful to see. ”
— Dusk Linley
“Finding Julie and her online classes have been an absolute blessing. She is extremely knowledgeable about how early music intervention plays a significant role in language acquisition, social and emotional literacy, and overall positive wellbeing in our children. If you want to know how to help your little one thrive join Sounds Like This and see how fun and educational her music classes are!”
